Why Gold Tree Organics Is Different
Why Gold Tree Organics Is Different — And Why It Matters
We don't just tell you our products are good. We publish the test results.
The Problem
Independent testing by consumer organisations — Which?, Consumer Reports, academic researchers — consistently finds:
- 30-40% of CBD pet products contain less CBD than the label states
- Some contain more THC than the legal UK limit
- Some contain residual solvents, pesticides, or heavy metals
Most brands show you a general certificate from years ago. Or no certificate at all. Then wonder why pet owners hesitate.
What You're Actually Comparing When You Buy CBD
| Factor | Gold Tree Organics | Most Other UK Brands | Cheap Import Brands |
|---|---|---|---|
| Independent batch testing | Every batch, every time | Sometimes (general COA) | Rarely or never |
| Results published online | Yes, before you buy | No | No |
| FSA Novel Foods compliant | Yes | Varies | Usually not |
| EU organic certified | Yes (where applicable) | Sometimes | Rarely |
| THC content disclosed | Per batch, published | Generic statement | Not disclosed |
| Formulated for animals | Yes, specifically | Sometimes | No (repurposed human products) |
| Product recalled if test fails | Yes — we'd recall | Rarely | No |
5 Questions to Ask Any CBD Brand Before You Buy
1. Can I see a batch-specific certificate of analysis?
If they say yes and it shows CBD content, THC content, heavy metals, pesticides, microbes — good.
If they say "our products are tested" but can't provide a batch-specific COA — walk away.
2. Are your results published online before I buy, not just if I ask?
Brands confident in their testing publish it. Brands hiding it use the "contact us for COA" tactic to avoid scrutiny.
3. Is your product FSA Novel Foods compliant?
In the UK, CBD food supplements must be FSA compliant. If a brand can't confirm this, their products may be operating outside the law.
4. Is your CBD formulated specifically for animals?
Human CBD products often contain ingredients that are toxic to pets (e.g., xylitol in gum, certain essential oils). Always check.
5. What happens if a batch fails testing?
Most brands quietly withdraw failed products. Ask directly. See how they respond.
